From 8th to 11th September, 2023, as part of the Cultural Diplomacy drive the High Commissioner H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana joined other dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps and private sector leaders to celebrate in a 3day event, the 89th Anniversary of Sir. Chief (Dr.) Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom.
The event began with the holy mass at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, an interdenominational service and a reception for special guests. Among other dignitaries are the High Commissioners of South Africa, Namibia and the Ambassador of Zimbabwe. The birthday of the Esama of Benin Kingdom attracts well-wishers from all continents.
