The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Rivers State, Nigeria, Prof. Clifford Obiyo Ofurum  accompanied by Dr Jones Gilbert Ayuwo, a lecturer in the Department of linguistics and Communications of the University of Port Harcourt  paid a courtesy call on H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to carry forward the conversation centred on reintroducing Kiswahili Language study into the curricular of the University of Port Harcourt, through a collaboration with the University of Dar es Salaam, Institute of Kiswahili Studies.

Furthermore, to invite His Excellency as a Convocation Lecturer to the 33rd Combine Convocation of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), with the theme “Internationalization of Higher Education in Africa”
