The High Commissioner meets with the leadership of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) in Port Harcourt Rivers State on Friday, 2nd July, 2021. PHCCIMA is the leader of the private sector in River State. Rivers State is regarded as a gateway to the oil rich region of the Niger Delta in Nigeria.
This meeting is intended to deliver a platform for linking the business community of the Niger Delta in Nigeria and their counterparts in Tanzania via the chambers of commerce. This interaction will hopefully birth a partnership between the PHCCIMA and Tanzania counterparts like the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) , Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) and the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF).
The President, was accompanied by the1st Deputy President, Chief Mike Elechi, 2nd Deputy President, Dr. Chinyere Nwoga, NACCIMA National Vice President, Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji. Also present were Heads of Trade Groups: Agriculture 7 Agro Allied Services Group, Surv. Emmanuel Ogbonda, Oil and Gas Group, Mr. Lucky Akhiwu, Sir Dan Harrison, Shipping and Logistics, Engr. Dominic Okafor, and Staff of PHACCIMA.
