The United Republic of Tanzania pursues alliance for technology transfer through the Mission's facilitative role in the collaboration between Tanzanian Commission for Science and Technology and National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion of Nigeria.

The Director-General, Tanzanian Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH), Dr. Amos Muhunda Nungu during his courtesy visit to the Minister of Science and Technology of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. (Sen) Adeleke Mamora stated that the aim of his delegation's visit was to explore platforms to collaborate and to seek worthy partners for Technology Transfer with Nigeria.

The Minister said that rapid socio-economic growth of the African continent cannot be achieved without collaboration of African countries. He further said that the world is in the age of 4th  Industrial Revolution which is Technology driven  and involves  the  concept of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) pointing out that most countries of the world are moving from resource based to knowledge acquisition economy, necessary for the desired development and progress of Africa. 

This interaction is expected to open up space for linking of COSTECH with other like minded institutions, like the Raw Material Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Nigeria which was also part of the institutions visited while the COSTECH delegation were in Abuja, Nigeria.
