On 3th January 2024, the High Commission received Hon. Kitila A. Mkumbo, Minister of State, President's Office, Planning and Investment of the United Republic of Tanzania in Cotonou - Republic of Benin. Hon. Minister and his delegation comprised of the DG-TIC, DG-EPZA, Director-Private Investment, and an official from the Office of Treasury Registrar, were in Cotonou for a working visit at the Glo-djigbé (GDIZ) Industrial Zone.
GDIZ, a massive project, is a joint venture between the Government of Benin and ARISE-IIP/GDIZ under PPP arrangement. The ARISE-IIP plans to invest in Tanzania in the near future.
