On 11 March 2026, the Tanzanian delegation visited the Lagos Free Trade Zone along the Lekki Corridor as part of the Tanzania–Nigeria Investment and Business Mission.  Lagos Free Zone is a private  Special Economic  Zone (SEZ) designed with modern infrastructure and an integrated single window clearance process. The visit served as a learning engagement to understand how the zone has developed into a world-class industrial park, with insights into its infrastructure, investment framework, and sustainability practices that support long-term industrial growth.

The delegation also explored opportunities for knowledge sharing and potential collaboration, including the possibility for similar developments in Tanzania.
