On Sunday, 27/02/2022, H. E. Dr. Philip Isdor Mpango, Vice President, of the United Republic of Tanzania and H. E. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo SAN, GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria had a bilateral meeting in Arusha, Tanzania.

The deliberations revolved around several matters related to the Bilateral Relations between the two countries, particularly on the need to establish a Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) which will enhance cooperation in different sectors including tourism, trade, education, science and technology, among others. The Bilateral relations between the United Republic of Tanzania and the Federal Republic of Nigeria dates back to the liberation struggles of African countries and has continued to be strengthened post colonialism and apartheid era.

Prof. Osinbajo is in Arusha, Tanzania to attend the 2022 opening of the Judicial Year of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights taking place on Monday 28th February, 2022.
