On  5th June, 2026,  H.E. Ambassador Selestine Gervas Kakele in advancing Tanzania and Nigeria Bilateral Relations through the two countries private sector partnerships, had a working visit to the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Headquarters. The visit built on the momentum of the March,2026 Nigeria–Tanzania Business Forum and underscored the shared commitment of both Governments to expand trade and investment opportunities.

Engagements with ACCI leadership, particularly the 1st Deputy President, Director General, Executive Director ACCI Trade Center and Director ACCI-BEST Centre explored practical areas for collaboration across strategic sectors, including manufacturing, transport infrastructure, maritime development, and logistics. With both sides emphasizing the importance of sustained business-to-business engagement in unlocking new opportunities for entrepreneurs and Investors in Tanzania and Nigeria. His Excellency accompanied by the Embassy officials  toured key ACCI facilities and exchanged ideas on initiatives that support enterprise development and economic growth.

The visit concluded with a mutual commitment to deepen institutional cooperation, facilitate stronger commercial linkages, and translate discussions into tangible outcomes that benefit businesses in both nations. As an immediate outcome of the engagement, plans are underway to commence  Kiswahili classes in collaboration with Diaspora to the members of the ACCI to begin with. The initiative is expected to promote cultural exchange, strengthen people-to-people connections, and support growing trade and investment relations between Tanzania and Nigeria.
